Today I was invited in a week early to pick through an estate sale.I bought one photo.

A Man photographed 160 years ago

The photographer painted in the subjects shirt covering part of his fingers in the process.

An inscription that I can not read appears on the inside of the case.

There is a date of 1853 inside the case as well as etched on the back side of the copper frame

Here is a larger then usual cabinet card taken in Fresno California.The bottom of the words Fresno Cal are seen on the lower right hand corner unfortunately the photographers name was covered up when the photograph was mounted onto the card.
